BREAKING: Ondo Varsity female student found dead

Modupe Ayandare, a 500-level Agronomy student at Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State, was found dead early this morning in Akungba, located in the Akoko South West local government area.

She was discovered around 4 a.m. on Monday, dressed in a white church garment.

Sources indicate that Ayandare had left her hostel on Sunday night to attend a vigil and was found dead upon her return. There are unconfirmed reports suggesting she may have taken her own life.

However, a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @YemieFash challenges this narrative. The video and eyewitness testimonies suggest that her death may not have been a suicide.

“The circumstances surrounding her death look very suspicious,” @YemieFash posted. “Video and eyewitness accounts show that she did not commit suicide as presumed. I am calling on the @OndopoliceNG to critically investigate this matter, as this looks more like a case of murder.”

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Akungba Police Division.
