Peter Obi felicitates Tems on Grammy win

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has congratulated Nigerian singer Tems on her recent victory at the 67th Grammy Awards.

Tems won the Best African Music Performance award for her song Love Me Jeje, marking her second Grammy win.

In his message, Obi described Tems as a symbol of the creativity and excellence of Nigerian youth. He also praised the Nigerian entertainment industry and acknowledged the other Nigerian artists who received Grammy nominations, emphasizing the country’s rich pool of talent.

Obi further reaffirmed his commitment to fostering an environment where young people can thrive and maximize their potential.

Expressing his admiration, he wrote: “I am always thrilled by the outstanding achievements of Nigerian youths, particularly in the entertainment industry. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our Afrobeats star, Tems, on winning her second Grammy Award in the Best African Music Performance category.”
