Anambra Guber: APC begins sale of nomination forms

Nigeria ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has kicked off the sale of nomination forms for the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election, with the total cost set at N50 million per aspirant.

Announcing this on Monday, APC’s National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, disclosed that the party has also released a comprehensive timetable for activities leading up to the election, which is scheduled for November 8, 2025.

A breakdown of the fees shows that the Expression of Interest Form costs N10 million, while the Nomination Form is priced at N40 million, totalling N50 million.

However, the party has introduced fee waivers and discounts for specific groups:

Female aspirants and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs): Required to pay only N10 million for the Expression of Interest Form as the Nomination Form is free.

Youth aspirants (aged 25–40): Eligible for a 50% discount on the Nomination Form, bringing their total cost to N30 million (N10 million for Expression of Interest and N20 million for the Nomination Form).

The APC’s timetable for key activities includes:

Sale of Forms: February 10–25, 2025

Screening of Aspirants: March 7–8, 2025

Delegates Congress: April 2, 2025

Primary Election: April 5, 2025

Final Submission of Candidates: May 8–9, 2025

Delegate forms will be available for N5,000 each, with eligibility restricted to financial members who have paid their dues consistently for at least three months.

Argungu emphasized the party’s commitment to fairness and transparency, urging aspirants and party members to strictly follow the outlined guidelines throughout the nomination process.
