“The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 18, 2025,” the statement read.
Presidents’ Day, celebrated on the third Monday of February each year, is a federal holiday in the United States dedicated to honoring past and present leaders of the country.
While essential services will remain available through emergency contact channels, routine consular services will only resume after the holiday.
