Oyo ex-Chief Judge, Nurudeen Adekola dies at 94

A former Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Nurudeen Olalekan Adekola is dead.

According to Daily Pυost, Adekola died on Wednesday at the age of 94, adding that the deceased has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

He was survived by his wife, Alhaja Sekinat Olapeju Adekola Animashaun, six children, and grandchildren.

The deceased began his judicial career in 1977 with his appointment as a judge of the High Court of Justice in Oyo State.

He served across various judicial divisions, including Ife, Ilesha, Saki and Ibadan.

He was appointed in 1995 as Acting Chief Judge of Oyo State and became the substantive Chief Judge in 1997.
