Former Presidential Spokesperson, Doyin Okupe reportedly dead

Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson, has passed away, according to reports from Sahara Reporters. His death was confirmed on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Okupe, who once served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign, stepped down from the role after being convicted of money laundering.

Following the 2023 general elections, he resigned from the Labour Party and later became a strong advocate for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
