Power outage hits parts of Abuja due to technical fault – AEDC

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has identified a technical fault on a feeder as the cause of the power outage affecting several areas in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In a statement shared on its X handle on Monday, the company apologized for the disruption and assured residents that efforts were ongoing to fix the issue.

The affected areas include Jabi, Kado, Life Camp, Idu, Karmo, Citec Mbora, Airport Road, Nile University, Karimajiji, Kuchingoro, Lugbe FHA 1, NIA Senior and Junior, Baba Gida Market, and Mr. Biggs.

Other locations impacted by the outage are Tipper Garage, Okada Bridge, Peace Village, Lugbe FHA 2, AMAC Market, New Site Leg, Living Faith Leg, CBN Estate, Sharon Leg, 1R Estate, NNPC, T. Pumpy, Rebando Football Arena, and neighboring communities.

AEDC assured residents that its technical team is actively working to restore electricity as soon as possible.
