President Bola Tinubu has signed into law the bills establishing the South-West and South-South Development Commissions, along with the Nigeria Anti-Doping Bill, 2025.
In a statement, Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, highlighted Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive governance and national advancement.
Lado stated that the newly established commissions will play a crucial role in boosting economic growth, generating employment, and improving infrastructure, aligning with the administration’s broader development agenda.
He further emphasized that Tinubu’s approval of the commissions reflects his dedication to driving progress in all regions of the country.
The commissions are set to accelerate industrial growth and social transformation, complementing earlier efforts to establish similar regional development agencies.
