In a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the minister congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan.

He urged them to uphold values such as self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace, emphasizing the need for love, forgiveness, and unity in society.

He also encouraged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for national peace, stability, and progress.

Expressing hope that Eid-el-Fitr would strengthen unity across religious and ethnic divides, he advised citizens to celebrate responsibly and extend kindness to the less privileged, reflecting the true essence of Ramadan.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo, speaking on behalf of the government, wished all Muslim faithful a joyful Eid Mubarak and prayed that the season brings happiness, success, and prosperity to all.
