Chelsea’s all time best XI: Nigerian legends Mikel Obi, Celestine Babayaro snubbed

Chelsea Football Club has revealed its best XI in 120 years, and Nigerian legends Mikel Obi and Celestine Babayaro did not make the cut. The team was voted on by fans to celebrate the club’s 120th anniversary.

Mikel Obi, who played for Chelsea from 2006 to 2017, won numerous titles, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and UEFA Europa League. Celestine Babayaro, who joined Chelsea in 1997, was a regular left-back for the team.

Other notable omissions include Michael Essien, Victor Moses, and Michael Ballack. The selected team features a star-studded lineup, includes,

– Petr Cech (goalkeeper)
– Ashley Cole, John Terry, Thiago Silva, and Cesar Azpilicueta (defenders)
– Frank Lampard, Claude Makelele, and N’Golo Kante (midfielders)
– Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba, and Gianfranco Zola (forwards)

This team represents the best of Chelsea’s history, with players who have made significant contributions to the club’s success.
