President Bola Tinubu has appointed Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
Alongside this, he also named Hon. Fatuhu Mohammed Buhari from Katsina State as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.
A statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed the appointments and outlined additional key placements across federal institutions.
Among them, Mallam Muhammad Massan, the APC Chairman in Bauchi State, will head the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute in Ilorin, while Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, the party’s Kano State Chairman, has been selected to lead the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.
Dr. Austian Agada from Benue State was named to oversee the National Agricultural Seed Council, and Hon. Macdonald Ebere from Imo State will preside over the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology in Lagos.
Further appointments include Ubong Stephen Ntukekpo from Akwa Ibom State, who will lead the National Institute for Freshwater Fish in New Bussa, while Chief Emma Eneukwu, the APC Deputy Chairman (South), has been tasked with heading the National Automotive Development Council.
The National Library of Nigeria will now be under the leadership of Aminu Musa Bobi from Niger State, and Pharm. Abass Olayide from Oyo State has been appointed as the Board Chairman of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Kaduna.
In addition, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka from Yobe State has been chosen to head the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, with Benjamin Omale from Benue State leading the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu.
Rufus Bature from Plateau State has been placed in charge of the Nigerian Coal Corporation, while Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Kana from Kebbi State will oversee the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies.
Hon. Donatus Nwankpa from Abia State has been appointed as Board Chairman of the Project Development Institute (PRODA), while Comrade Mustapha Salihu from Adamawa State will now lead the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
Also among the appointees is Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu from Abia State, who will chair the National Parks Headquarters, with Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman from the Federal Capital Territory heading the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria in Ibadan.
Other appointments include Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi from Taraba State, who will oversee the Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria, and Sola Elesin from Ekiti State, who has been chosen to lead the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences. Emperor Jarrett Tenebe from Edo State will chair the Federal College of Agriculture in Akure, while Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani from Zamfara State has been named to head the Federal Medical Centre in Azare.
Also on the list, Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel from Jigawa State will take charge of the Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology in Kano, while Barr. Idris Shuaibu from Adamawa State will now lead the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology in Ibadan.
