Naira gains 0.11% against dollar

The naira appreciated slightly in the official market on Friday, trading at N1,536.82 per dollar.

According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the currency gained N1.84, marking a 0.11% increase from the N1,538.66 recorded on Thursday.

This improvement comes after four consecutive days of minor depreciation.

Earlier in the week, the naira traded at N1,531.19 on Monday, N1,532.39 on Tuesday, and N1,537.62 on Wednesday.

Despite these fluctuations, the naira has remained relatively stable against the US dollar since December 2024, supported by CBN’s reforms aimed at enhancing transparency in the foreign exchange market.
