Dundee United took a significant step towards securing a top-six Scottish Premiership finish with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Ross County. Ross Graham’s second-half header proved to be the decisive goal, earning Jim Goodwin’s side their first league win in eight matches.
Both teams had chances in the first half, with Luca Stephenson and Alex Samuel squandering opportunities to open the scoring. The breakthrough came in the 73rd minute when Graham outmuscled Jonathan Tomkinson to head in a corner kick.
United then dominated proceedings, with Louis Moult and Sam Dalby coming close to doubling their lead. However, a combination of solid defending and goalkeeping denied them a second goal.
The win lifts Dundee United six points clear of seventh-placed St Mirren with just two games remaining before the league splits.
