Protest: Gov Adeleke asks all schools in Osun to shut down

The Osun government has ordered all schools, both public and private, to close by July 31.

This directive is in response to the upcoming #EndBadGovernance protests, which seek to advocate for economic reforms and improved welfare policies under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a public service announcement, A. Jimoh, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, advised parents and guardians to ensure the safety of their children during the school closures.

“This is to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians and heads of both public and private schools in the state that due to the planned nationwide protests, all schools are directed to proceed on the third term vacation From Wednesday 31st July, 2023.

“Parents and Guardians are advised to ensure the safety of their wards during the vacation,” the statement said.
