BREAKING: Protest erupts in Ondo as youths set police station ablaze

There was chaos in Ifon, the headquarters of Ose Local Government Area in Ondo State, as angry youths reportedly set a police station on fire. The unrest was triggered by allegations that a young boy died in police custody due to torture.

According to local sources, the protesters reacted after receiving news of the boy’s death, while another individual, believed to be his friend, is in critical condition at a hospital.

During the violent demonstration, another building in the area was also reportedly set on fire.

In response, Ondo State Police Commissioner Wilfred Afolabi has left Akure for Ifon to assess the situation and restore order.
