Gunmen have kidnapped the National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Ojajuni, in Abuja.

Reports indicate that he was shot twice in the buttocks before being taken away by the attackers on Monday, February 17, 2025.

In a statement, the council’s National Secretary, Abiodun Aderohunmu, described the incident as distressing, revealing that the kidnappers are demanding ₦100 million for Ojajuni’s release.

“The Afenifere National Youths Council is deeply troubled by the abduction of our National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja. His kidnappers have set a ransom of ₦100 million. Sadly, he sustained gunshot wounds during the attack,” Aderohunmu stated.

He called on the Federal Government and security agencies to act swiftly to ensure Ojajuni’s safe return. He also urged Nigerians with any useful information to assist in efforts to secure his release.

Confirming the incident, a member of the Afenifere Youth Council added, “He was taken on February 17 after being shot twice. He is wounded, and the kidnappers insist on a ₦100 million ransom.”
