PDP establishes Caretaker Committee for South-South Zone

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed a caretaker committee to oversee its affairs in the South-South region following the expiration of the current Zonal Executive’s tenure on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

The newly formed committee will assume responsibilities starting Monday, March 10, 2025. Its establishment was approved by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to ensure smooth administration and continuity in the zone.

As outlined in the PDP constitution, the interim leadership will manage party activities for three months or until a new executive is elected.

The committee comprises seven members, with Bro. Emma Ogidi serving as chairman and Chief Damiete Herbert-Miller as secretary. Other members include Hon. Nicholas Ayuwa, Barr. Godwin Akpan Udonta, Mrs. Bekewei Ashanti, Idehen Ebomoyi, and Dame Vivian Ahanmisi.

The party has called on its leaders, stakeholders, and members in the region to cooperate with the caretaker committee in strengthening the party’s presence and operations.
