To strengthen the workforce in public primary schools, Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the recruitment of 1,100 teachers under the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (ODSUBEB).
This decision follows the conclusion of the recruitment exercise and comes shortly after over 1,000 teachers were approved and documented for public secondary schools in the state.
The Executive Chairman of ODSUBEB, Mr. Victor Olabimtan, commended the governor for his commitment to improving basic education.
He emphasized that the recruitment would help address teacher shortages caused by retirements and enhance the pupil-teacher ratio in public schools.
A statement issued by the board’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Prince Bolu Diesel Ajijo, highlighted that the newly employed teachers would play a key role in improving education, especially in remote areas.
Successful candidates will begin their documentation this week, with further details on the process to be made available soon.
