NYSC confirms ₦77,000 allowance for corps members starting March

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that Corps Members will begin receiving an increased monthly allowance of ₦77,000 from March 2025.

This confirmation was given by the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, during an interactive session with Corps Members at the Wuse and Garki Zonal Offices in Abuja on Thursday. He reassured them that the Federal Government remains committed to their welfare and that the new allowance will be implemented as planned.

“Starting in March, your monthly stipend will be Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira. The NYSC maintains accurate records, and I assure you that payments will be made accordingly. Your service is deeply valued by the nation,” he stated.

He encouraged Corps Members to stay committed to their duties and highlighted the NYSC’s role in promoting national unity, patriotism, and teamwork.

Brigadier General Nafiu also expressed appreciation for their dedication and assured them of continuous support.

On behalf of Corps Members in the Garki Zone, Zaka Deborah Alheri, with call number FC/24A/5831, thanked the Director General for ensuring the allowance increase would be implemented as promised.
