Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has expressed his dissatisfaction with La Liga’s decision to reschedule their match against Osasuna just two days after the international break.
The original match was canceled due to the death of Barcelona’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro. However, the rescheduled date of March 27 has left Flick unhappy, as key players Raphinha and Ronald Araujo will not have sufficient time to recover from their international duties.
Flick criticized La Liga’s scheduling, stating that it does not prioritize the well-being of players. He also pointed out that other European leagues provide more recovery time for teams competing in the Champions League.
“I’m not happy with this,” Flick said. “When you see other leagues with Champions League teams, it’s different here. When you play Champions League, it’s not about Real Madrid against Barça, it’s about protecting your Spanish teams.”
Flick confirmed that Raphinha, Araujo, and Pau Cubarsi will miss the Osasuna match, citing their need for recovery time. Eric Garcia and Inigo Martinez will start in defense, while Pau Cubarsi will be on the bench.
